2006 Ford Fiesta key fob i put new batt in still not working

i took my key fob to have new battey fitted they put one in but said they cant take respons if it didnt work ,aa guy said fobs ok but it needs reprograming ,ive been told try turning ing on and off 4 times

On some you had to turn ignition on and off until you hear it beep, then press a button on your fob and it should program the fob to work the central locking. Hope this helps .

I had this problem with a corsa key fob,I changed battery but since then key never worked again,the problem was, unknown to me there was a small chip inside fob and it must have dropped out
