2002 Ford Fiesta triple electrical failure

Well if the fuses are good I'd suggest you check the other common system which is the earth/ground.
so check ALL the ground points for security and clean connectors.

Have linked to 20942 as the same items are failing to work.
There seems to be only one visible earth - that earthing the negative terminal of the battery to the chassis. Can anyone suggest where an earthing point covering these circuits (fan motor, electric windows and indicators) are to be found as nothing is visible. If I cannot easily solve this problem I'll be sending an otherwise excellent running Fiesta Ghia to the scrap yard.

I'll need some time to reference the correct wiring diagrams,
it's on another computer,
But I ought to be able to find the correct ground point.

Well I've some imfo'
heater ground is what ford call g6,
located behind trim in the drivers footwell,
just about where the inner sill meets the "A" pillar.
same general area where the wiring harness from the door control module runs from the door into the car harness.
so pull the trim on the inner sill/kick panel have a GOOD inspection for corrosion and water ingress.

1. locate the fuse box on the right hand side of the steering wheel and remove the cover.

2. unscrew the two screws holding the fuse box in position.

3. drop the fuse box down and you will see two black relays.

4. you need to remove the relay closest to you.

5. you can remove the relay behind it aswell and try it where this one goes. if windows heaters and indicators work then you need to replace the relay.

the part number on the relay is... FOAB-14B192-AA or its F0AB-14B192-AA its either o r 0

Thank you for your suggestion to look at the relays. I have now dropped the fuse box down and there are three similar identical relays in a row rather than two you suggested. Two remove easily but the third (nearest the front) will simply not pull out of its holder. It would be much easier if I could see how to remove the relays and their holders from the side of the fuse box - they appear to be a slide holder of some type and locked into position. Any idea how to release them - it isn't obvious to me although I've spotted and played with the metal spring sticking up alongside the relays. My assumption is that the relay has indeed burnt out but is somehow now jammed through heat in its holder. I guess it could be I need a new holder too but first I need to remove it from the side of the fusebox.

Disconnected battery and got large screwdriver under stuck in relay and managed to prise it out. Signs of overheating in both relay and some melting of the holder but substitution of relay with its neighbour did get everything working again. The part number of the relay is FOAB 14B192-AA and the Ghia has three of these together.
Of course if the heater blower, electric windows and indicators have an electrical fault it could just happen again.
