Is it the original battery ? ( unlikely ) If replaced is it correct type ? Was battery and alternator LOAD tested ? If wrongly diagnosed by Ford you should have claimed back alternator .Check all earths , especially from power unit to body .

Yes original battery until ford gave me new one today as they said they smelt sulphar when running car with the other ecu in and yes i got my money back for altarnater

Also check wiring / connections at alternator .

Yes all wiring checked at alterntor by ford and AA

Is it o.k with new battery fitted today ? Smell of sulphur can also be caused by overcharging alternator as well as dud battery .

Also when battery light comes on i lose my heated windscreen if that helps?and taking it to ford again so will get them to check the battery they told me first time i went they have never had a fault like this ever before

Get them to LOAD test alternaor . The heated rear window usually draws a helluva lot so would tie in with alternator not up to scratch .Have they scanned for faults ?
Answered May 9, 2018 (5 years ago)
Yes its been scanned for fault all pointed to a altarnater fault thts why they fitted new one and when out test driving the battery light came back on thts when they said it must be ECU unit but cost 1500+vat so i got one from same car as mind as i was good working order ford coded it in ran it for a hour or so no fault then i drive home from work fault appears
