Lights on dash have disappeared except oil light.Everything working except will not start.Just stops, and nothing but oil light, and doors open sign sometimes.Had it towed to Ford who left it for three days, and when went to check everything lit up and started OK.Did it again, and AA towed it to an electrician who found no fault. This has been going on for months, and is putting me broke.Put in new battery.Checked all fuses.Put new earth on battery as original fell off in my hand. When I move the gear stick it appears to put it in gear, although not started.

check plug o/s front kick panel disconnect and check pins common for poor connections also check relays in central jnct box behind glove box common for relays to go down which would cause your problem

Hi little ninja, and busted knuckle thank you.Have done all you suggest, but still the same.Got a code U0121,but I am told that this could be a ghost code as the system is down. All the experts I have spoken to suggest that it is the actuators on the gearbox,it has a history of gear change problems.Ford have had it,but of course it started up no problems, and drove around for weeks. There is current to cluster as there is a faint green light behind the glass, and the analogue bit fires up OK.What puzzles me is no warning lights on auto change,Not sure if it was an ABS fault if it would shut down the systems. It is nice to know that there are people out there willing to help. Thank you.
