2005 Ford C-MAX grinding when applying brakes and epb limited comes up

when i press the foot brake i get a grinding in the pedal and then a warning sign comes up in the instrument panel.if i switch the ignition off and restart then drive off the abs warning light goes problemoff,have fords ever have a recall on this .

You need to get it scanned and see what faults on ABS show .
