engine management light came on,engine runs rough tested on a local garage computer cat blocked.changed cat with non-ford part problem re-starts.tested by ford guess what cat blocked recommend you fit ford part at £1200 cost.....are ford just not turning off the management light off to gain 1200 quid?

Why did garage who scanned car originally and replaced cat not clear codes /turn the management light off ? You could contact the supplier of the cat and ask tell them it's showing up as faulty .Or you could buy a scanner to clear light yourself , see here .
