Ford B-MAX Battery Problems

first the battery light came on the the thermometer light,i stopped and then all the warning lights came on and the alarm bell sounded,tried restarting the motor but it wouldn't start up,

Title says what the problem is - surprisingly heated seat work! Heard that battery not fully charged due to short journeys could be the problem but why would the heated seats work?
