2000 Fiat Punto spluttering with air box on

Hiya guys i have a fiat punto 1.2 that splutters when pulling away in 1st sometimes second with the air box on. If i take it off it doesnt seem to do it:-/

Any ideas please let me know

check and make sure you do not have any vacuum leak first, it seems your car is leaning out ,then check your spark plugs

All spark plugs fine. Air box was tight down but chocked engine. The car runs a load sweeter with it off :-/

If it runs better with box of , it must be running rich not lean .Try cleaning / replacing MAF sensor .
