need to replace exhaust sensor on a 04 fiat punto 1.2 thinking of doing it myself but was told today by a mechanic that when it replace it has to be re tune by a computer, but looking on youtube this guy shows how simple it is to replace a exhaust sensor and he didn't mention anything about retuning it with a computer, so who's right can anyone tell me. thanks.

I had the "Lamba" sensors replaced on my Fiat! Both in the end as Im no mechanic!! the garage I took it to said that they had put it on the computer so I asked for the print out and they said the "printer didnt work"!! so up to you!! the only thing I would say is if you take it to a garage and it goes wrong again you have come back. If you do it yourself you are on yer own!! Plus there are TWO so be sure you know which one it is!!!

thanks bedfordbird, was told to clean out the old sensors do that tomorrow and if that dont work, then maybe your right, thanks again.
