i was driving my car yesterday parked it outside an hour later i went out to start it and a red steering light came on and the steering wheel was really stiff? also last week my windscreen wipers stopped working and now only turn on sometimes? could anyone tell me whats up?

You need to get it checked out , could be alternator fault . Also check earth cable on g/ box.

Could also be the pump , see here replacement units .

Fiat Punto/Brava/Bravo electic power steering suffering failure. Two types of failure:
i) Electronic torque sensor which is self contain within the shaft
ii) Electronic control unit, which can be changed without removing the entire assembly.
BBA supply remanufactured unit with 2 year warranty.
