2008 Fiat Punto wont start

Car: Fiat Punto
Year: 2008
Variant: manual grande
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I have owned my punto for 2 and a half years. It was fine up until July 2010 and then it wouldn't start every now and again. Then 2 weeks ago it wouldnt start at all. When I turn the key it just makes a clicking noise. I took it in to my local garage and they put a new alternator on it and then a new battery. Still no joy. Then a friend said it could be the ECU so that went on next. I got the car back yesterday and GUESS WHAT, just a clicking noise this morning. I have paid out nearly £1000.00 getting new parts put on and really cant afford anymore money to go out. Has anybody got any ideas. I am desperate as I need the car for work.

Clicking noise sounds like starter solenoid . Check all connections at starter motor and also earth between engine / gearbox and body .If all o.k may be starter faulty .
