Yes my Fiat Punto splutters and stutters when driving...When I start it up it revs too fast and my temp gauge and engine light stay on?

Have to get car checked for over heating ASAP before any further probs.with engine .Could be something minor but sounds like may be cyl. head gasket gone which is very common on that car .
