Fiat Punto clunking noise from front driver side of car going over bumps

When the car is driven over smooth surfaces there is no problem. But when driven over even a small pothole or manhole cover there is a clunking sound from the front driver's side of the car. Nothing from the driver's side.

A very common cause can be front suspension drop arm links , or if not that , front anti roll bar bushes
