2012 Fiat Punto clicking/ticking noise coming from engine area.

I think it may be an electrical problem. The noise is not coming from the engine itself so it is not the lifters. It is coming from a black plastic cylindrical shaped part at the top back of the engine between the engine and the back of the dashboard. It has wires pugged in at one end and wires coming out on the other side. That's why I think it is electrical. It is difficult to determine if the clicking is coming from the box directly but it is definitely coming from that area to be precise its on the right hand side the noise comes from. (left hand drive car)
