Was driving car going from B road to A road, going up gear box and was unable to get
4 th gear.
Car purchased from new, 10 miles on clock. only just over 6000 miles done

You will have to get the gear linkage /cable checked out . But often it affects more than one gear . if not that it must be internal but very rare for a car of that mileage . This is only video I can find at the moment to give you an idea of the POSSIBLE fault .
