Electric windows work for a short time and then stop

When i first start the car the windows work but when i stop and get out they stop working.

On most cars if you switch off , take key out and exit the car the windows wont work .

Sorry but i dont think this is true,the windows should always work asling as the ignition is on,i have never heard ofvthis on other cars before

I know im not thick,what is happening is when i go and switch it back on the windows don't work,thats my probkem

With a 15 yr old Punto the possible causes are many . Electric window circuit relays , wiring fault , fusebox fault etc to name a few . Best of luck in finding it .
