2000 Fiat Punto bonnet wont open cant jump start or charge battery?

Hi there could anyone help me with a problem i got with my 54 plate fiat punto the cars battery is completely dead when i tryed to start it thats when i noticed so when i tryed to open the bonnet to jump start or charge the battery the cable had completely come away from the front actual bonnet release so is there anyways of opening the bonnet without the realise cable from in the car or is there any other way to jump start or to charge the battery without opening the bonnet to get the car started to take to a garage? If anyone can shead any light on this it would be very much appreciated thanks... ashley
