2002 Fiat Punto flat battery????

my daughter has trouble starting ,battery seems sluggish , had the AA out said it was battery after they done a few tests, had new battery then once winter came had same problem, took car to dealer, was checked out said battery again, so another new one was fitted again and guess what here comes winter and we cant start again once it gets to cold weather, any ideas folks would be great, happy new yearrrr

Maybe the alternator isn't charging the battery properly, a mechanic might tell you to replace the regulator (about £20) or to replace the whole alternator (£80+), but check the belt isn't loose or slipping to avoid getting ripped off.
