Overheating and cutting out

The car keeps overheating and then keeps cutting out...its had a full service..and then it had plugs and Leeds changed but it still keeps over heating and not starting. .

These cars are quite prone to head gasket failure ,not saying that,s your fault hopefully not ,but certainly a first check area,also is it misfiring possibly worth checking plug,s lead,s connection.
