1998 Fiat Punto clutch pedal has no pressure

Car: Fiat Punto
Year: 1998
Variant: 1.2
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
i started my car up and went to put it in gear but couldnt.... the pedal just felt like there was no resistance to it. i did see sum clear liquid under my car a few days b4, is it the clutch slave???

could be the slave cylinder as you say but you really need to have it checked out to be sure and if it does turn out to be the slave at fault then you are going to need a new clutch aswell because of contamination of clutch fluid over the clutch as you need the gearbox removed to gain access to the slave to replace it so its up to you but that is what i would do

'98 1.2 punto has the slave externally to the gearbox. i suispect that that is the problem as this is very common. a new slave cylinder costs around £35 + fitting. i would think the does not need to be removed as its a hydraulic problem.
hope this helps!!!
