2002 Fiat Punto oil leak

As long as you keep your oil level topped up and monitor it closely ,it depends on the degree of leakage it,s really best washed down and checked to see exact area of leak,These cars are prone to head gasket failure.

Agreed but they are also prone degeneration of the breather pipe,I'd check that first,it connects to the underside of the air filter housing and the inlet,it's around 20mm in dia,black and branches into two,with one pipe being 6mm aprox.
remove filter housing and the breather and wash clean to inspect but they're about £5 so I usually just fit a new one.
a good indication is the oil runs down onto the dipstick housing area and then the sump so begins top rear left.
