2002 Fiat Punto squeaking noise from the rear

If I drive the Punto on anything except a godd read surface there is a light squeaking noise from the rear. The Shocks and Springs seem fine. The rear exhaust box is within 10 to 15mm of rhe downturned edge of a metal plate and I am wondering would it be tipping off of same going over uneven ground.

Can you re-create the noise by getting some one to bounce the car while you carefully look for the cause,noises are often difficult to trace.
