this is only a minor problem, but a rather annoying one. Anytime i open my car doors there is this awful clicking sound twice. How do i get rid of this, it obviously has something to do with the hinge, is there any easy way to sort it out, tried some kind of lube recommended to me (cant remember name) and it made absolutely no difference. Please help :)

sounds like your door check strap is loose or worn check bolts to A pillar and door if ok will req new check strap

Yes the first thing to check is the Door Check strap as opposed to the Hinge. Sometimes due to the movement of the Door opening the Torx Screws can become loose. If you have the Door open and move it in and out you will see the looseness as the Check Strap moves away and then back to the Pillar. If the Check Strap looks dry or rusty it will be in need of some lubrication i.e. Grease / Vaseline etc. The Grease / Vaseline will not give an instant cure but over a few day's there should be a marked improvement if this is the issue.
