the battere went on my punto had it changed at garage then the car wud only run for ten seconds and cut out thay have had my car for two weeks and have told me the its the part that controls fuel to engine which to get it running thay have by passed and charged me 227 for doing it and told me not to drive to far in it i need help i am ok to drive it

first of all bypassing anything is not good practice especialily for a garage....
sound's more like an immoblizer fault due to the battery being dead
get it checked by a pro with propper testing equipment asap
