2004 Fiat Punto on & off sound ruubbing metal

date 16/08/08, all of a sudden i can hear the rear offside wheel, making a noise like metel rubbing against metal. ( squeeky wheel ). l think it maybe the hand break sticking??? can anyone shine light!!!

check things like the wheel bearings to aswell as the shoes in the drum and like you say check the cable too
