1997 Fiat Bravo burning smell

Have noticed a smouldering smell coming from under the car after running ( engine warm), is similar to melting plastic but cannot see anything. The engine runs very well, car drives perfectly and it's just passed it's MOT test and so i'm puzzled as whats causing the problem. Any help greatly appreciated.

You dont say what engine in car . You can get this when the particulate filter is regenerating, if this applies to your car .You can also get something similar if heater matrix leaking .
