Loss of power when driving

2008 Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge automatic
Car: Fiat 500
Year: 2008
Variant: 1.2 Lounge automatic
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
have only had my Fiat 500 for 10 days and love the look of it. However I am really concerned about loss of power when accelerating. The car is not truly an automatic as I can also choose manual (no clutch pedal)
Please, please can anyone help me to decide whether I need to return it to the dealer (which I don't want to do) or whether it is something simple or even something that I am doing wrong.

We have a similar problem 'loss of power' ... see my Q Ref: 5627 ;

We have owned our 1.2 (Start/Stop) Lounge for 4 months and completed 2750 miles.
We have taken the car back to the Dealer twice now for the same 'intermittent' loss of power problem to no avail...!
However, we think we have now identified the source of the problem ouselves!
We have noticed that just before the low fuel waring light comes on at about 5'lts the car starts 'grumbling/vibrating when pulling away or being asked to accelerate through gerar changes. As soon as we re-fill the car (yesterday it took 32xlts the noise and loss of power problem goes away! - So check this out for yourself if you have similar loss of power probs. Or it could just be that the fuel siphon from the tank is not mounted at the proper height, or that there has always been some 'water' in the tank sicne prior to delivery and it is only when we get low on fuel that this gets pulled through to the engine...?!?!? So back to the Fiat Dealer for them to Check out next time we run the tank down!
Hope this might help you to eliminate something...!
