yes my engine management light stays on all the time even when the car inginition is turned on with out the engine running .but the car is running fine

You will need to get it scanned and see what shows .

had my car scanned found no problems.but yesterday sluggish start lacking a bit of power taking time to pick up when changing gear

check if there is a code fault with it you buy a diy code read from ebay to do it yourself
