2013 Citroen DS3 02 sensor replaced, still showing eml on that sensor

Had mot and new sensor replaced, the garage said the sensor is still showing that that sensor is at fault but also showing it has been replaced?

From what you say it sounds like it must have failed the emission test and they have diagnosed the o2 sensor as the cause and that has not rectified the fault . Unless there is a wiring fault at sensor , looks like there is something else causing it and not the sensor they replaced .

Yes I'm meant to be purchasing the car the mot passed which I cannot understand as eml is still showing

Might be other faults triggering the light , would not advise buying car till faults fixed . If failed emission test it's a MOT failure till fixed and retested

Didn't fail emissions test the eml light wa son when I test drove was told was having mot and new sensor fitted, the I have been told its passed mot but eml is still on, whne questioned about mot passing with eml on was told that it's because the garage rectified the fault shown but they cannit turn the eml off?

No. If the EML is on during the MOT test, it will be classified as a major defect and will result in a failed MOT test.

Yes exactly what I thought, so obviously has just been put through an mot with eml light on as showing no faults and no advisories yesterday but eml is still showing as he has messaged me and said that he cannot turn it off but it's not affecting the car 🙄 thank you for your help will steer clear and get my deposit back
