Whole centre screen keeps shutting off

This has been happening to my car for a couple of years. I have tried various reboots from online forums without success. I contacted the dealer and they wanted £100 to run diagnostics!! I have been reduced to muting and just watching the screen turn on and off repeatedly. Grrr.
It is most annoying when on a call as contact is lost until the radio comes back. I start all my calls by telling people that I may disappear for a min but that is normal for my car.
If anybody had had any joy with a fix, I would be delighted to be enlightened.

Get you battery voltage LOAD tested , preferably after lying overnight and prior to starting as if low , it can cause this especially if original battery
