2014 Citroen DS3 sidelight dash indicator/interior alarm

Car: Citroen DS3
Year: 2014
Variant: 1.6 HDR
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
When i turn off my engine and turn my lights completely off on the indicator stick, the sidelight dash light stays on as well as my sidelights themselves (not the DRL’s). When i remove my keys from the ignition an interior alarm goes off and won’t stop until the car is restarted. When i move the light switch to 0 and the DRL’s come on, they automatically blank out and the sidelights come on even though they aren’t selected on the indicator stick as well as the dash flickering whilst the engine is running.

Sounds like faulty light switch / stalk .

Okay thank you, so stressful as the only way to stop it from happening is to put main headlights on and switch engine off and leave it like that. Worried it will drain the battery even though the headlights arent on after i switch the engine off?
