2013 Citroen DS3 stiff steering

My steering is electric and its gone really stiff almost like there is no power steering at all, stiff turning to the right than the left. It said engine failure before I turned off the car but nothing came up again when I turned the car over 5 mins later

It is usually caused by a low battery and / or alternator not charging correctly .Need to get both tested .

Would that cause any other issues with my electrics? because everything else seems fine including the eco stop/start.

Other possible causes i.e EPAS unit / rack , steering column intermediate shaft knuckle joint .You are better to get it scanned for fault codes rather than guess . Stop / start is USUALLY affected as well but not always for different reasons.
