2011 Citroen C4 heater blower not working

Interior blower not blowing. The light comes on the fan speed control but blower motor doesn't work. I connected the blower directly to battery and it's working. I noticed there's constant positive power from the blower motor resistor to the blower but no ground supply.

Cant remember if it was that year , model where there was problems with the wiring harness / plug to heater motor

Never had that car or any in shop to have to deal with it . but seem to recollect another friend / garage owner telling me he had one and it was a modified part but may be wrong . Could check the plug for any signs of overheating
