2013 Citroen C4 automatic gearbox problem

I recently bought a my C4 about a month ago from a private seller. The car seemed fine and work perfectly until a couple days ago when I got a ‘Gearbox Fault’ error message. The car seemed to slip out of A and into N and wouldn’t go into reverse at times. This then to me having to use the paddles and drive it manually. It then cut out while driving and I got it recovered to a Citroen garage where they said a fuse had blown due to the ‘Hydropump’ or something had gone and needed replacing quoting me £2400. As the fuse had got the car drivable I tried to get it home so I could think of it and then it went again. Has anyone else had a similar problem and managed to find a cheap fix and is it even worth keeping or will this keep happening? Thank you :)

Until the fault that is causing the fuse to blow is rectified it will keep blowing The only other option other than the dealers would be to contact a good , local auto transmission specialist for a second opinion and estimated cost .

Yeah I’m planning on trying to call around and get some quotes and see if I can get a cheaper fix than the dealership. Hopefully I can and then it’ll be a matter of whether to keep it much longer or if it’ll be a recurring issue

Hello, last month I bought C4 Picasso 2013 (68kW, 1.6HDi) from private seller. Car worked good, but now sometimes when I start the engine, goes to fault "Parking brake fault: Have the vehicle repaired" and "Gearbox fault: Have the vehicle repaired". Then I switched off the engine and put out the + from the batery (restart the car) and than works car normally approx. 1 week and then it's all again. I was to the mechanic, he told: C4 picasso had a problem with connector on the robot.gearbox, I clean it and will works. But It's still same, when he did it. All another parts working good and the gearbox (when I restart the car) working good too. It's a randomly fault.
Can you help me with this problem? How I can solve it? Maybe it's a problem with robot unit for the gearbox?
