Cannot manouver slowly while parking. Revs cycling and brakes vicious. C4 VTR
2014 Citroen C4 1.6 VTR+ EGS

I had an older C4 semi automatic and loved the semi automatic gearbox. This one has no handbrake. It's idling revs cycle up and down by 300 rpm when I try to crawl into a parking space. The brakes can not be applied gently either. I have been told that this is a generic problem with the newer C4. I have had it serviced by 3 different Citroen dealers with no improvement from any of them. Please help or tell me to get rid of it.
