Switches off when idle

Ive not long bought this car the past couple days when I m parked with the engine was running it suddenly switched off. help please some advice.

Your car probably has the stop/start system .It should start again when you touch one of the pedals .Usually able to switch it off through the car menu if not happy with it .Personally I hate it and switch it off on my cars .
