2006 Citroen C4 failed start

when i try to start the car it will sometimes just click and the speedo resets to kilometres time and date goes dash shows 2003 it goes back to factory settings i have had info reset twice but when car will not start which is intermittent it resets to kilometres etc

Get your battery load tested , a weak / low battery can cause similar faults .Lkes of Halfords or any fast fit , accessory store will usually carry out f.o.c .

i took car to garage they checked everything and because the fault was not there then they drew a blank

I doubt they would load test battery , but could be wrong .By the time you went into garage , the alternator would probably nave boosted battery if it was low .But just a suggestion .Could also check all earths , especially from engine to body and connections at starter .

i would check the positive lead to the BM34 under bonnet fuse box I have known the nut to be loose before now.
