2005 Citroen C4 starting

Car: Citroen C4
Year: 2005
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The engine cranks, but won`t always start.
It will start on 2-3 occasions during the day, but suddenly gives me the above problem. If I push-start the car it starts quickly.

When was the car last fully serviced ? Have basics like the battery and plugs been checked / tested?

Thank you fir the quick response.
The plugs are fine, and the battery has been checked. I wonder if the injectors are getting power. Could the problem be here
An auto electrician has bridged the fuses in the engine fuse box. If it will help - it was fuse number 10 and 13

" An auto electrician has bridged the fuses in the engine fuse box. If it will help - it was fuse number 10 and 13 "

Why ??? I don't have a fuse schematic and know what those fuses cover .

The engine is 1.6 petrol
The fuses mentioned previously are
Nr 10 - ECU engine management
Nr 13 - Built in systems interface
This was done because the car would not start. Not even crank
It has been working fine for 12 months now

I have had similar in before though not that make/model,
the problem was electrical interference generated by the starter motor.
This "noise" corrupted" the signal from the crank angle sensor so there was no clear crank signal getting to the ECU.
The big clue was like yours it would always "bump" start.
This "noise" will only show up on a 'scope,
so without access to that test your left with replacing the starter and hopefully that one won't generate interference.
Or trying to re screen the CAS signal wires.
