2008 Citroen C4 gear stick bad rattle

Hi Darren have you checked the tyres for uneven wear and is there any sort of humming or whirring noise when driving at 70 also have you tried swapping the wheels around from front to back.

If it is just the gear stick rattle , would suggest it was more of a gear linkage problem otherwise balancing or tracking vibration is felt through the steering .Don't know the set up on that car but would be worthwhile pulling stick and checking out if any spring or anti rattle / spring fitted . Also check routing of cables , not touching anywhere when in 5th . Have cured some cars by applying grease on stick ball sockets .
