as you seem not to solve my problem about my locked boot the only thing i can say is that i got it working but you had to close it gently then it got slamed shut and now it will not work my son has said it is as if there is a lack of power and the L E D light will not work all fuses have been checked and seem fine boot is locked please help to correct the problem

Check for broken wiring where it passes into tail gate / boot .
