hi i have a clonking door check strap i was quoted £127 at citreon wondered how easy this is to change any special tools or is there as fix with out changing it ,its the drivers dooor .thanks

Only easy fix I know is plenty of grease, if you have already tried this then a replacement is required. Not a really big job, just undo the bolts/nuts and remove it from inside the door. This means that you also have to remove the internal door card to access the inner door...
