2006 Citroen C3 dashboard display blank

Variant: 1.4 desire petrol

radio(+etc) display on dashboard has suddenly gone blank- radio still works ok just no station data.trip computer data is not showing.

speedo panel ok, so are column mounted controls.

is there a diy fix, if so any info welcome.

i have tried all 'dark' control buttons.

could just be a problem with display,does it illuminate or is it just dead?
