Loud whirring noise when accelerating.

Does the noise change if you use clutch , is the noise there at engine idle and stationary ?

I have just got a c4 and it’s making a noise when I’m sat running the car, stops when put the clutch down but starts again when I lift up

You should start a new question of your own rather than tag on to an old post and also a different car , otherwise it can be missed and go unanswered . You dont say what year , mileage or engine in your car .
