i was on my way from work to home when all power on car and engine died.sometimes ignition lights comes on but as soon as i key to start all goes dead again and wont start

Clean both battery terminals until bright metal,
inside and outside,
And check the gearbox earth strap.
You can do it with a butter knife if it's all you have but they must be clean/bright for good current flow.
And check the battery voltage.
12.5v minimum.
