Display panel lights flashing off and on

The display panel lights are flashing off and on. i.e. date, time etc, This is a recent problem. I only use the car for short journeys, could the problem be the battery not charging sufficiently?

Possibly battery low due to short journeys / lack of use .Maybe a good run in car to boost battery or charging battery would cure .

I had the same problem in my C3, really annoying. I looked under the bonnet and found a leaf lying on the contacts. The leaf was perfectly dry and looked innocuous. I brushed it away. Hey presto problem seems to be solved.
