My dad is attempting to change my car seats for me as mine are ditched, we've done the back 1 no problem but as we've unscrewed all bolts on the front passenger seat there's a wire attached to some clips under the seat which we can't figure out how to get them undone or what they're for can amy1 help please?

Probably seat belt sensor ?

This wire is for the passenger detection which would trigger the air bag if involved in an accident
You should be safe and disconnect the battery before removing the seat
The clips holding the wires to the seat are held by plastic "fir trees" and need force to pull them out
