2004 Citroen C3 grinding on wheels

Hi, I had this on a Renault - the suspension spring has come out of its mounting point. Its not an easy job to do unless you have the correct tools.

Hi, I got the spring from Euro Parts - half the price that Renault quoted, it wasn't that expensive. You will need a set of spring clamps/grips, take the wheel off, drop the shock, take off the old spring, compress the new spring and reverse fit - spring over shock, shock back in place and very slowly release the clamps/grips. Double check that it matches the other side - if it does job done...oh and put the wheel back on!
I did this by myself - never done anything like this before, took me about 90 mins - I did have some tough nuts - have a can of WD40 handy.

Check the new spring with the old one , not only on height but usually colour coded on coils for different stiffness .

There was a recall on that fault , could check your vin number .Even though yours is a 2004 , it MAY be affected if possibly old stock not registered till 2004 , just to be on the safe side .
