2006 Citroen C3 no power in engine @ around 1800 revs. when cold.

Car: Citroen C3
Year: 2006
Variant: 1400cc petrol manual desire.
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I have always had a flat spot on this car at around 1800/2000 revs. Tried lots of things, even the Citroen agent is baffled. However I have learned to live with it even though it is annoying. Now the colder weather is upon us, in a morning with a cold engine I have to warm it up for a few mins. before I dare drive off it is so bad. Once the engine is warm it,s as "normal" as it ever is. If it was an older car it would req. the choke pulling out, if you get me....
Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you.

Not really familar with that car but sounds like engine coolant temp sensor faulty but dealer probably checked this ?

Thanks for the reply,
sorry it,s taken so long to get back.
That,s an idea, re the dealer-I had it on their diag. machine
and it came up , they said, no fault found.
Cost me £75 though for nothing.
I will not be using them again.
However the other day my friend plugged it in to his newly acquired
reader and it came up as "fuel volume regulator"
P0008. Very strange.
The fuel tamp. sensor being faulty would maybe do this.
Thank you, I will test it if possible.
Regards, Pete.
