I have a cireoen c3 which had a bumping/judder
on nearside front. Garage said steering rack needed to be changed, after replacing it with 3 seperate reconditioned ones the computer system would not reboot. I then asked why they hadn't just reconditioned the original one, they did that and it still won't reboot.
I purchased a small electronic plug-in part which another website said would solve the problem, still no luck. It has been to a 'Citroen' suposedly specialist (although not a main dealer)garage in Shrewsbury and they said you need a new steering rack!!!
Please help surely it can't be difficult to fix?? Regards.

Not a computer expert. But bumping.judder on one wheel side usually points to a defective shock absorber. A steering rack will give symptoms of tyre wear, and a wobble not bump n shudder.
