my car was stood for about a month without being started. when i did start it the power steering was not working, i was told that the car has an electric steering pump and this sometimes happens if the battery gets down. no messing as winter is here i bought a new battery and fitted it but still no power steering, can anybody help?

Not familiar with this steering system .can only suggest that you locate the electric pump and check your getting pwr.to it.or if there is a fuse check that first.some cars have the electric motor on the column some have a seperate motor that stands alone with a resovoir on top,these are prone to corrossion at the wiring terminals.
